Everdark Abyss - Art Direction #3

Over the course of this week, I have been exploring various ideas on how to manage the inventory. Although the process hasn't been easy, I have successfully laid the groundwork for the system. This will allow me to dynamically add different types of items such as weapons, armor, potions, and crafting materials, which should accelerate the development process. Unfortunately, since there are no UI graphics available in the game, I am unable to effectively showcase the system at this time. I hope to be able to do so next week.

Changing the subject to the topic of art direction, I have dedicated some time in between coding sessions to create a low-poly base character.

The mesh comprises a modest 148 polygons, which is just below the target I set for this project (150 polygons). The texture measures 64x64 pixels and has a higher pixel density on the facial and hand regions.

In the upcoming week, I hope to continue the development on the inventory system and creating some UI graphics for the in-game menus.

If you like this project, follow me here on Itch and on Youtube so you won't miss the updates.
