Everdark Abyss - Inventory #4


Many significant strides have been made in the past few days. The development of the inventory system is currently in progress, and I invite you to watch this video where I demonstrate its functionality.

At present, the following functions have been implemented:

  • Adding items (without player interaction)
  • Picking up items
  • Dropping items
  • Basics of the encumbrance system
  • Inventory sorting (eliminating gaps when items are dropped)
  • Distinguishing between stackable and non-stackable objects
  • Weapon condition

One feature that is still missing is the ability to remove items from the player's inventory, but I believe it should not be difficult to implement. Additionally, I plan to add a function that allows the player to selectively drop only a portion of stacked items. Of course, there are a lots of elements missing, but hopefully next week I'll be able to fill the empty areas.

Please note that the UI is not yet finalized; however, I believe it already reflects the graphical style I am aiming for.

Furthermore, I have created a female base model for NPCs, which complements last week's male NPC perfectly. :)
