Everdark Abyss - NPC AI #8


Hey everyone!

This week, my primary focus has been on developing AI behavior and pathfinding. Although pathfinding is currently a work in progress, enemies are already able to detect height differences and will jump or fall when appropriate. They can also identify enemies and execute multiple attacks randomly. Their animations and timing need improvement to make combat more engaging. You can see the current state of combat in this video.


Additionally, I've laid the foundation for an in-game map editor, which will assist in fixing and enhancing some of the levels.
